We collect excess food from various donors. Hotels, grocery stores, restaurants, bakeries and many others help us by providing fresh, quality surplus food.S 100% of the food we rescue is delivered, free of charge, to Auckland’s charities and shared with people in need.
Our cooling trucks are filled every day with fresh meals and produce ready to be picked up and delivered.
All our edible food is inspected to ensure that all of our recipients are receiving quality meals and ingredients. Any inedible foods (fruit peels, egg shells, coffee grounds, etc.) and rejected foods are taken to local farms to be composted.
